Our Client | The Project
Medusa is a military defense contractor that specializes in UAV system (unmanned aerial vehicles). We were hired to create not only an updated brand for the Medusa name, but also to create a 3D prototype for one of their new UAVs. However, It didn’t stop there. Now we needed to create a presentation for them to sell this system to our military.
The Results | The Brand
We needed to make their stylized Medusa logo more iconic, professional and somewhat sinister. We achieved this with the black and white feeling, making it cold while leaving the eyes barren and frightening. The logo ultimately says, I’m not playing around, and you believe it.
Next we needed to create a prototype in 3D from a flat image of an incomplete prototype they were testing. Our 3D artists had to make sure they understood the vision and the feeling the client was going for in order to make a very specific model from almost nothing. The results were exactly what the client was going for.
The brochure was for the flagship aerial vehicle that were prototyped in 3D. With the Medusa brochure we wanted to create a cold clean professional look. The client wanted readers to understand that this is a serious project and not some new age pop design. Therefore the information needed to be presented in a very clean and simple way. All the charts where simplified and font size increased since the target audience was a much older crowd.
